With Friday and more importantly the launch of Super Mario 3D All-Stars rapidly approaching, Switch owners the world over are finally gearing up to take a well-deserved break from running their Animal Crossing Island’s and head back to the wonders of the Mushroom Kingdom. That said, not all fans, it appears, will get a chance to relive Mario’s greatest moments (physically at least) since Super Mario 3D All-Stars has already become rarer than a copy of EarthBound and Chrono Trigger glued together.

Worst still, neither Nintendo nor the majority of major retailers selling the collection seems to know when restocks of the game will be available once more, leaving many a gamer with little choice but to take a chance on eBay if they truly wish to add Super Mario 3D All-Stars to their games collection this Friday.

For those of us unwilling to pay double or even triple the price for a game which should be £49.99 however, there is always the digital version available to tide us over until the inevitable restocks happen, or perhaps you have the actual originals laying around somewhere, there’s even a portable version of Mario 64 already on the good old DS.
