Starlight Games: Psygnosis Revival?

0

Calm down, the famous owl isn’t coming back just yet – unfortunately – but. There’s a new games studio based out of Liverpool called Starlight Games, and it’s headed up by former Psygnosis member Mr. Gary Nichols. The pedigree doesn’t end there though, as Mr. Nick Burcombe (former worker-on-Wipeout) is also on the team.

Starlight Games already has a number of titles in the make, but keeping with the Psygnosis supplication, one of them being a futuristic sports game.

Maybe it is wishful thinking that we could see some of the eclectic and inspired publishing and development that we saw from Psygnosis in its heyday before the Sony purchase, but maybe Starlight Games’ personnel can bring a little personality to what has felt like a stagnant videogames market of late.

The Crying Stars Is Available Now

Playing videogames, writing about videogames, considering videogames—that about sums it up. Videogames are the one hobby that I’ve kept since I was only little, zapping ducks on the NES or knocking out MR. X. And when I’m not enjoying classics from the bit generation of games or checking out those earliest of polygons, I’m probably playing something from today’s age of modern gaming: if I’m not complaining about it. Something I’m doing at the moment? Returning to the many Final Fantasy games on the Switch to complete a couple more.
