Is Palworld Coming To Switch & PS5?

In a recent interview with Bloomberg, Pocketpair CEO and Palworld creator, Mr. Takura Mizobe gave some insight into how he sees videogames today and the status of his games development studio.

Mr. Mizobe talked about the importance he sees in multiplayer with videogames today, and that triple-A games don’t really suit Pocketpair. Interestingly, writer of the story, Takashi Mochizuki, wrote that Pocketpair is in talks to move Palworld to other platforms:

For now, Pocketpair is content to remain an independent studio and maintain the intimacy of its small team. The company is in talks to bring Palworld to more platforms, beyond Steam and Game Pass…’

Although the story doesn’t go into details about when or where Palworld might move to more platforms, for an online game that relies on engagement (as so many do now), being available to as many audiences as possible can only be seen as a positive fot Pocketpair—even more so on a massive platform like the Switch, or even the PS5.

Playing videogames, writing about videogames, considering videogames—that about sums it up. Videogames are the one hobby that I’ve kept since I was only little, zapping ducks on the NES or knocking out MR. X. And when I’m not enjoying classics from the bit generation of games or checking out those earliest of polygons, I’m probably playing something from today’s age of modern gaming: if I’m not complaining about it. Something I’m doing at the moment? Playing through Star Ocean: First Departure R.
