VGC has an interesting interview up that you can read here.

Going over questions to PlatinumGames’ Hideki Kamiya and Atsushi Inaba, the two gentlemen went over the progress they have made on the long-awaited Bayonetta 3.

Speaking to VGC, Mr. Kamiya said ‘As much as fans are waiting for it, we are waiting for the day when we can show it. We want everyone to cheer us on as we run to the final stretch. We want to show it too.’

Adding to that, Mr. Inaba said ‘There’s no need to worry. Don’t worry about it at this time. Everything’s okay.’

The reason why PlatiumGames hasn’t shown anything yet is likely down to Nintendo, who, as publisher, would be the ones deciding when would be the best time to give us a closer look at the game. And given Nintendo’s recent habit of leaving news about their games until three or so months before their intended release it’s no surprise we haven’t seen anything yet.
