Sonic Origins, Sonic Colors Ultimate And The Next Sonic Game
Sega held a stream over Youtube for the 30th Anniversary of Sonic yesterday (27/05/21), and the main news to be seen was that the rumoured Sonic compilation game is indeed coming and called Sonic Origins.
Origins will include Sonic, Sonic 2, Sonic 3 with Sonic & Knuckles and Sonic CD. If that is all that Origins will offer we’ll have to wait and see, but there was also news of a release date for Sonic Colors Ultimate of the 7th of September, 2021, for the PS4, Xbox One Nintendo Switch and PC.
Finally, the last big piece of news was a very short (less than 30 seconds) trailer to promote the next mainline Sonic game from Team Sonic. The trailer showed almost nothing, but did confirm that the game will be coming in 2022, and will be coming to the PS4/5, the Xbox One/Series X, Nintendo Switch and PC.
