Mini and maxi-console maker Retro Games Limited has released given us a look ahead to their future plans. The makers of the C64 mini/maxi as well as the A500 mini have released a diagram of what they’ll be doing for the rest of this year, next year and even 2025.

The nearest point of their ‘roadmap’ is a ‘major product update’ happening sometime this year; almost certainly this will be an A500 Maxi, if Retro Games does what they did with the C64 mini. This would also fit with the point saying there will be a ‘new full size Amiga console launch’ in the fourth quarter 2024. In between that there will be a new mini console launched and a new accessory too. Very ambitiously, Retro Games are planning to release 2 new full size consoles in 2025.

Whatever Retro Games has planned it is going to be a busy few years for the personal computer champions.

Playing videogames, writing about videogames, considering videogames—that about sums it up. Videogames are the one hobby that I’ve kept since I was only little, zapping ducks on the NES or knocking out MR. X. And when I’m not enjoying classics from the bit generation of games or checking out those earliest of polygons, I’ probably playing something from today’s age of modern gaming: if I’m not complaining about it.
