former Managing Director of Sales at Nintendo of Europe, Takao Yamane has confirmed that he is joining PlatinumGames.
The news that the Nintendo veteran of nearly thirty years was joining PlatinumGames as the company’s new Chief Business Officer has raised more than a few eye-browns among industry observers however Mr Yamane himself has said he made the decision to join PlatinumGames in order to assist Hideki Kamiya and Atsushi Inaba in “making their dreams become reality.”
PlatinumGames are currently going through a bit of a rough patch with Babylon’s Fall proving both a critical and commercial failure however with the appointment of Takao Yamane and the long awaited release of Bayonetta 3 just around the corner, the minds behind MadWorld will surely be anticipating better times ahead.
