Years ago, when Ubisoft announced that they were working on a remake of the well loved Prince of Persia reboot that made a big splash on the PS2, Xbox and Gamecube, fans were more than a little excited; then Ubisoft actually gave everyone a looked at the game and excitement drained faster than a 3 second sandglass. Well after all that Ubisoft returned to the drawing board and, according to Insider Gaming, they really have started again from zero.

In an exclusive with the website (and it’s important to remember this isn’t official), Insider Gaming has writes about footage of the PoP remake that was leaked to them under the condition that it was not released to the public. The footage is reported to show the remake in a very early stage of development. Graphics and gameplay are in for an ‘overhaul’ according to one anonymous source; and, obviously, this means that the remake is still going to be some ways off releasing (assuming that all these leaks turn out to be true).

The Crying Stars Is Available Now

Playing videogames, writing about videogames, considering videogames—that about sums it up. Videogames are the one hobby that I’ve kept since I was only little, zapping ducks on the NES or knocking out MR. X. And when I’m not enjoying classics from the bit generation of games or checking out those earliest of polygons, I’m probably playing something from today’s age of modern gaming: if I’m not complaining about it. Something I’m doing at the moment? Returning to the many Final Fantasy games on the Switch to complete a couple more.
