Blaze might have done a good job licencing an eclectic mix of games to give the best chance of you finding something you’ll like, and licencing has allowed Blaze to do that on the cheap; unfortunately licencing comes with problems of its own: the licences run out.

Last year Evercade told us that all 5 Atari cartridges were to go out of licence and become legacy, that is to say that they would no longer be produced. Now we’ve got 2 more cartridges on the legacy chopping block. Both Codemasters collection 1 and Technos Arcade 1 are to become legacy; Codemasters immediately and Technos Arcade in June. If you haven’t picked up either then you might want to start thinking about, because as I wrote above, legacy cartridges are no longer produced.

The Crying Stars Is Available Now

Playing videogames, writing about videogames, considering videogames—that about sums it up. Videogames are the one hobby that I’ve kept since I was only little, zapping ducks on the NES or knocking out MR. X. And when I’m not enjoying classics from the bit generation of games or checking out those earliest of polygons, I’m probably playing something from today’s age of modern gaming: if I’m not complaining about it. Something I’m doing at the moment? Returning to the many Final Fantasy games on the Switch to complete a couple more.
