Price-hike Station 5
Sony has taken the surprising step to increase the recommended retail price of their PS5 consoles in a number of regions. The price changes will see a;
- £30 increase in the United Kingdom
- €50 increase in Europe
- ¥5,000 increase in Japan
- AUD $50 increase in Australia
- ¥500 in China
- MXN $1,000 in Mexico
- CAD $20 in Canada
You may have noticed that the U.S.A is not among the region that will see a price increase for reasons that have not been disclosed by Mr. Jim Ryan.
Writing for the official Playstation Blog, Mr. Ryan put the increase down to economic inflation and adverse currency trends. The move has already been met with what we could all predict, and as of writing Sony has not responded.
