There’s been plenty of talk about Fallout, with the Microsoft franchise missing in action for quite a while now—its only representation of late has been the terribly underwhelming Fallout 76. Fans have been understandably curious as to when a new game in the series is coming out, and when the anticipated remake of Fallout 3 will make an appearance. Fallout bosses at Bethesda look to be thinking about just that, and in a ‘note’ on the official website, Bethesda have let it be known that the series is one of their ‘biggest priorities ’. Fallout 5 is indeed in development, a new expansion is coming to Fallout 76 and remasters of Fallout 3 and New Vegas are both in the works.

It’s good to hear from Bethesda that they are indeed working on a new Fallout, as well as the remakes, even if we were already pretty sure about it, but fans are going to need a little more patience before finding out the details.

Playing videogames, writing about videogames, considering videogames—that about sums it up. Videogames are the one hobby that I’ve kept since I was only little, zapping ducks on the NES or knocking out MR. X. And when I’m not enjoying classics from the bit generation of games or checking out those earliest of polygons, I’m probably playing something from today’s age of modern gaming: if I’m not complaining about it. Something I’m doing at the moment? Returning to Turok with the collection on Switch.
