Free Games from Epic: October 2026

More from Epic

I sometimes wonder how much longer Epic can keep this up. The Fortnite owners (they used to developed a lot more for you younger reader) must have spent a king’s ransom on the number of games they’ve licenced to give away on their digital store. And they’re still giving away more. This October they have four more games to give away:

1. Buried Stars (available now until the 8^th of October)
2. System Shock 2 Remastered (available now until the 8^th of October)
3. Out of Sight (available from 8^th of October until the 15^th of October)
4. TerraScape (available from 8^th of October until the 15^th of October)

Playing videogames, writing about videogames, considering videogames—that about sums it up. Videogames are the one hobby that I’ve kept since I was only little, zapping ducks on the NES or knocking out MR. X. And when I’m not enjoying classics from the bit generation of games or checking out those earliest of polygons, I’m probably playing something from today’s age of modern gaming: if I’m not complaining about it. Something I’m doing at the moment? Playing dome of the survival horror games in my GOG and Steam libraries.
