Evercade’s New Carts
The Evercade showcase was aired yesterday, and the show revealed 4 new carts coming to the system. Releasing in October, 2023, we have the Home Computer Heroes cart, which brings 7 homebrew games for personal computers to the Evercade. Also in October, the first single game cart for Evercade (that is to write, a cart with one game on it), Full Void—very reminiscent of Flashback and Another World.
Then, in December of this year there will be a pair of double-packs. The first will have Goodboy Galaxy & Witch ‘N’ Wiz, and the second pair will be Demons of Asteborg & Aste Bros.

Playing videogames, writing about videogames, considering videogames—that about sums it up. Videogames are the one hobby that I’ve kept since I was only little, zapping ducks on the NES or knocking out MR. X. And when I’m not enjoying classics from the bit generation of games or checking out those earliest of polygons, I’ probably playing something from today’s age of modern gaming: if I’m not complaining about it.
Something I’m doing at the moment? Playing through the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster collection, and all the other mainline Final Fantasy games up 12 on the Switch.
