2 Dooms too little?
Blaze has revealed the Doom collection cart for Evercade, and it brings Doom 1 and 2 to the platform.
Blaze have done some work on the two Dooms, with the extra maps that you would get if you bought the games on Steam today, as well as split screen multiplayer, among some other additions, but I still find myself wondering if Blaze can really justify this collection. I’m a big fan of classic Doom, and I’ll definitely get my money’s worth out of this collection, but there are so many ways to play these games, and quite a bit cheaper than this in some cases. For the Evercade platform this is a great pair of games to add to the library, but if you already have these games, or other ways to play them (and let’s be honest, most of us do) then it’s hard to see how this cart is value for money.

Playing videogames, writing about videogames, considering videogames—that about sums it up. Videogames are the one hobby that I’ve kept since I was only little, zapping ducks on the NES or knocking out MR. X. And when I’m not enjoying classics from the bit generation of games or checking out those earliest of polygons, I’m probably playing something from today’s age of modern gaming: if I’m not complaining about it. Something I’m doing at the moment? Returning to Turok with the collection on Switch.
