Edge of Memories has a new release date for the 3rd of Decmber, 2026. The news of the action-RPG’s release is something of a bittersweet moment. The game has had a difficult time running up to release, as would be expected with an ambitious release from a smaller developer like Midgar Studios, but with the JRPG Edge of Eternity under their belt, there are plenty of fans that remained confident that the game would see a release. That will happen, but it comes off the news that Midgar themselves will not continue. The studio was closed after parent company Nacom when bust, and without a buyer to finance Midgar, the developer has had to close before seeing their newest game make it into fans’ hands.
Playing videogames, writing about videogames, considering videogames—that about sums it up. Videogames are the one hobby that I’ve kept since I was only little, zapping ducks on the NES or knocking out MR. X. And when I’m not enjoying classics from the bit generation of games or checking out those earliest of polygons, I’m probably playing something from today’s age of modern gaming: if I’m not complaining about it. Something I’m doing at the moment? Playing dome of the survival horror games in my GOG and Steam libraries.
