Phil Spencer led a short event yesterday to tell us about the swirling rumours of an end to exclusivity of Xbox titles. Well although the initial guesses that some titles will be going multiplatform, it won’t include Starfield.

Mr. Spencer explained that for games – ones that he would not name yet – would be making the move to other platforms, and that these games would not include Starfield or the yet to release Indiana Jones game. The 4 games that will be making the jump will include 2 community-driven games and two that are smaller titles.

At the end of the day the concern from fans that Microsoft’s entire catalogue was about to pop up on Playstation were unfounded. Things are only going to continue moving in this direction though, as Mr. Spencer explained that he foresaw the exclusive games becoming a smaller and smaller place in the videogames industry.

Playing videogames, writing about videogames, considering videogames—that about sums it up. Videogames are the one hobby that I’ve kept since I was only little, zapping ducks on the NES or knocking out MR. X. And when I’m not enjoying classics from the bit generation of games or checking out those earliest of polygons, I’m probably playing something from today’s age of modern gaming: if I’m not complaining about it. Something I’m doing at the moment? Returning to Triangle Strategy to see some of the other endings.
