We just wrote about Ubisoft closing accounts that are ‘inactive’, and it seems the news has cause something of a rabble among games media on the internet. So much so that Ubi has decided to release a statement to clarify they policy. The important point is that Ubisoft have ensureed people that accounts will not be closed if those accounts are tied to a subscription or PC games.

Assuming that this has always been Ubisoft’s polic, and not a reaction to the criticisim the company has been receiving than goo stuff. Of course this doesn’t solve the many other problems with ‘digital-ownership’ versus just plain old ownership, but at least Ubisoft account holders don’t have to worry about losing their games for inactivity.

Playing videogames, writing about videogames, considering videogames—that about sums it up. Videogames are the one hobby that I’ve kept since I was only little, zapping ducks on the NES or knocking out MR. X. And when I’m not enjoying classics from the bit generation of games or checking out those earliest of polygons, I’ probably playing something from today’s age of modern gaming: if I’m not complaining about it.

Something I’m doing at the moment? Being impress by Project Firestart.
