Shadow Man: Darque Legacy

Shadow Man is back in videogames, sort of. The big news is that the voodoo vigilante of Valiant Comics is making a comeback, but this time it’s following a new Shadowman (who is ironically the old Shadow), Jack Boniface.

Whether Michael LeRoi (the Shadowman from the first two games) or Jack Boniface from the new Shadowman Darque Legacy, it’s good to see a new game in the Shadowman series after a two-decade long absence. Darque Legacy will follow on from the PS2’s Shadow Man 2econd Coming (that really is how they spell it), a disappointing sequel to the much more well received Shadow Man on the Nintendo 64 and original Playstation. The positive reception for the recent Shadow Man remaster from Nightdive Studios (now part of Atari) shows that there’s still interest in the franchise from gamers.

Shadowman Darque Legacy is scheduled for release on the PS5, Xbox Series and PC in 2024.
