There’s been problems a plenty for developer Aspyr, the people behind the plethora of ported Star Wars games to the Switch, but it’s still fair to say that a number of people have enjoyed (what they can) of what Aspyr have brought to Nintendo’s hybrid console. Called the Star Wars Heritage Pack, the compilation will bring all 5 of Aspyr’s ports to one cart, while Knights of the Old Republic 1 and 2 will both be download codes—unfortunate that, but 5 games on a physical cart is still pretty good going, especially if the games are new to you. The compilation is set for release on the 8th of December 2023, but there is only a U.S.A. release as of yet.

The 7 games are Star Wars:

  • The Force Unleashed
  • Republic Commando
  • Episode I Racer
  • Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy
  • Jedi Knight 2: Outcast
  • Knights of the Old Republic
  • Knights of the Old Republic 2

Playing videogames, writing about videogames, considering videogames—that about sums it up. Videogames are the one hobby that I’ve kept since I was only little, zapping ducks on the NES or knocking out MR. X. And when I’m not enjoying classics from the bit generation of games or checking out those earliest of polygons, I’ probably playing something from today’s age of modern gaming: if I’m not complaining about it.

Something I’m doing at the moment? Playing through the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster collection, and all the other mainline Final Fantasy games up 12 on the Switch.
