It would be hard to miss that the latest games in the Pokemon franchise only recently released, with the newest duo titled Scarlet and Violet.

Something else that’s been hard to miss has been the technical failings of the new titles; problems with frame-rates, animations, object pop-in and event the occasional crash have all been experienced by fans, and none of the above is what we would expect from either the Pokemon Company or (especially) Nintendo.

But a few wrinkles in the silk (it’s a little more than a few) isn’t enough to halt the juggernaut that is the Pokemon franchise though, and we can see that from a Japanese press release coming out of Nintendo.

The big N has state that Scarlet and Violet managed to sell a whopping 10 million copies in only three days after release; a new record for the franchise, and even any Nintendo published game.

That’s not just on the Switch mind you: Scarlet and Violet are the fastest selling Nintendo games (when taken together) on any Nintendo system.

Let’s hope that the runaway success that we all knew S&V would be will get Game Freak moving on improvements to the performance of the games.
