Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are tremendous financial successes, but that doesn’t mean the latest Pokémon pairing don’t have their problems. The most publicised of criticisms levelled at the twin titles is certainly the poor technical performance that the games put in, but there are also issues over the games content – or lack of it – with the limited pokédex. Both of those problems could be addressed in a new update for Scarlet and Violet coming in February of this year.

Announced through the official Pokémon Scarlet and Violet website saying:

‘Update Ver. 1.2.0, which will include bug fixes and add functionality, is planned to be released in late February. Please look forward to more details soon.’

This update is in tandem with an update for the Pokémon Home app on mobile, so perhaps the ‘add functionality’ signals adding Pokémon Home’s transfer functionality to Scarlet and Violet, while the update to the games will fix some of the technical issues the games have.
