Nintendo & Next Level Games

Nintendo is buying Canadian developers Next Level Games. You might recognise Next Level Games as the people behind Luigi’s Mansion 3, but they’ve actually been responsible for development of several other Nintendo titles like; Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, Metroid Prime: Federation Force, Punch-Out on the Wii and Mario Strikers Charged.

The deal is expected to be finalised in March, 2021, and although there have been no announcements as to projects Nintendo will have Next Level Games working on, they did say that they ‘anticipated improvement in development speed and quality by enabling closer communication and exchange of staff with the Nintendo development team.’
