Two More Evercade Carts

More Activision and SNK

We been given the news from Blaze that a third Activision collection is coming to Evercade, along with a fourth NEOGEO arcade collection.

The NEOGEO collection will bring eight new games to Evercade, and thirteen games on the Activision collection (as you’d expect). I’m not sure there’s going to be too much excitement for more Activision games taken from their Atari catalogue; there is some fun to be had from them – even more so if you have nostalgia for them – but the 8-bit cycle of Atari has always been hit and miss for most people. And while there’s a lot more value in the NEOGEO collection (especially if you aren’t up for paying the asking price of the recently announced NEOGEO AES+), I do wonder how long NEOGEO carts will be releasing on Evercade before fans start to wonder if any of the other collections on their wish lists are gong to be coming to the platform any time soon.

Playing videogames, writing about videogames, considering videogames—that about sums it up. Videogames are the one hobby that I’ve kept since I was only little, zapping ducks on the NES or knocking out MR. X. And when I’m not enjoying classics from the bit generation of games or checking out those earliest of polygons, I’m probably playing something from today’s age of modern gaming: if I’m not complaining about it. Something I’m doing at the moment? Taking the Multisystem 2 for a spin.
