Japanese games Publisher Konami has pulled out of the all-digital E3 event planned for this year.

In a tweet Konami said that the decision came down to ‘timing’ but that they had ‘a number of key projects’ to announce, so asked fans to ‘stay tuned’ for future updates.

It comes as a shame to hear that Konami won’t have a big announcement at E3. As a once great developer and publisher, there is no shortage of fond memories for the titles the Japanese giant used to crank out regularly. Hopefully some of the ‘key projects’ written about will be something like the Konami of years past and less of the amusement magnate of the present.
