E3 might be no more but Summer Games Fest is doing some work to fill the void with as many publishers and developers as Geoff Keighley can squeeze into a convention hall. One of those developers that have confirmed they’ll be joining in June for the Summer Games Fest 2024 is Ubisoft.

The publishing giant has had some struggles over the last couple of years, what with sales not quite meeting expectations, and the poor reception of recent release Skull and Bones certainly hasn’t helped. None the less, Ubisoft will be airing their Forward event on the 10th of June, and they say we can expect some news on upcoming releases.

As for what we could see at this latest Forward, well, I think we’ll probably see Star Wars make an appearance with Outlaws, the really big licenced game in Avatar, and you can’t mention Ubisoft without getting smacked in the face by a couple of Assassin’s Creed games. Then there’s also that slight posiblity that maybe, just maybe we’ll have something on that long developed remake for Prince of Persia—I wouldn’t hold my breath though. There’s plenty of other candidates too, but I don’t think we’re likely to see anything too exciting.

Playing videogames, writing about videogames, considering videogames—that about sums it up. Videogames are the one hobby that I’ve kept since I was only little, zapping ducks on the NES or knocking out MR. X. And when I’m not enjoying classics from the bit generation of games or checking out those earliest of polygons, I’m probably playing something from today’s age of modern gaming: if I’m not complaining about it. Something I’m doing at the moment? Returning to the many Final Fantasy games on the Switch to complete a couple more.
