When people think of the classic cartoons of America they might think of Mickey Mouse, Tom and Jerry or the Looney Tunes, but there’s actually a cartoon cat that predates them all; Felix. The black a white feline has mostly faded from popular-conscious, but Konami is bringing back a retro collection for Felix fans.

The news comes after people noticed a rating from the ESRB:

This is a collection of action platformers in which players help Felix save his girlfriend from an evil professor.

The description is for Felix the Cat on the Nintendo Entertainment System, and since we’re talking about a collection the obvious other title will probably be the Game Boy version of the same game.

Although there were two other Felix games; Baby Felix Tenis (PS1) and Baby Felix Halloween (GBC), however these two are unlikely be on this collection: Konami acquired the original Felix game when they bought Hudson Soft, but the Baby Felix games where published by Light and Shadow Productions.

The collection has been rated for the PS4/5 Nintendo Switch and PC.

Playing videogames, writing about videogames, considering videogames—that about sums it up. Videogames are the one hobby that I’ve kept since I was only little, zapping ducks on the NES or knocking out MR. X. And when I’m not enjoying classics from the bit generation of games or checking out those earliest of polygons, I’ probably playing something from today’s age of modern gaming: if I’m not complaining about it. Something I’m doing at the moment? Playing through the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster collection, and all the other mainline Final Fantasy games up 12 on the Switch.
