Does Blaze ever stop? Not only do we have another showcase to look forward to sometime this month (assuming nothing has changed), Blaze announced the cheaper priced Super Pocket, as an alternative to the Evercade EXP. Well things aren’t ending there. In a recent post to the official Blaze Evercade, CEO Andrew Byatt wrote:

‘In future we will bring more interesting devices as well as the Super Pockets that we believe will ignite the interest of many more retro game fans yet to discover Blaze and the great communities of like minded gamers we service.’

Not only that, but Mr. Byatt wrote on an expansion to staff at Blaze, which seems to be focused on quality assurance, with a focus on fixing bugs as well as adding new features.

Blaze already has fine customer service from my own experience getting a faulty EXP replaced (if you need a replacement, and the retailer you bought from is not an option, contact Support@evercade.co.uk via email), but it’s great to read they want to improve they services further.

So we will be getting other ‘devices’ from Blaze. Maybe we’ll be getting that high powered Evercade console I was writing about after all.

Playing videogames, writing about videogames, considering videogames—that about sums it up. Videogames are the one hobby that I’ve kept since I was only little, zapping ducks on the NES or knocking out MR. X. And when I’m not enjoying classics from the bit generation of games or checking out those earliest of polygons, I’ probably playing something from today’s age of modern gaming: if I’m not complaining about it.

Something I’m doing at the moment? Being impress by Project Firestart.
