The retro collections console has proven a proper hit among collectors, but a small delay has hit four of the upcoming cartridges that were set to release soon.

The Sunsoft Collection 1 and Delphine Software Collection 1 have had their release dates pushed back until the 6th of October, 2023. On top of that the Full Void (including the special edition) and the Home Computer Heroes Collection 1 cartridges have been delay until the 14th of November, 2024.

A statement on Evercade’s official website reads;

‘We have an update for you on some release date changes for some of our upcoming cartridge releases. The release date of Sunsoft Collection 1 and Delphine Software Collection 1 has now moved to October 6th, 2023. The release date of Full Void, Full Void Special Edition, and Home Computer Heroes Collection 1 will now move to November 14th, 2023.

We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause. Your retailer will update the release date for you shortly and contact you with confirmation of the change.’

Playing videogames, writing about videogames, considering videogames—that about sums it up. Videogames are the one hobby that I’ve kept since I was only little, zapping ducks on the NES or knocking out MR. X. And when I’m not enjoying classics from the bit generation of games or checking out those earliest of polygons, I’ probably playing something from today’s age of modern gaming: if I’m not complaining about it.

Something I’m doing at the moment? Playing through the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster collection, and all the other mainline Final Fantasy games up 12 on the Switch.
