Since Phil Spencer mentioned that 4 Xbox games would be going multiplatform there has been plenty of talk about which titles could be making the jump. After Nintendo recent direct event we learned that Pentiment and Grounded would be 2 of the titles moving, and now Matt Booty, President of game content & studios at Xbox told us the other 2: Hi-Fi Rush and Sea of Thieves.

All 4 of games will release on PS5, with Sea of Thieves and Hi-Fi Rush not release on the Nintendo Switch.

For Nintendo and Playstation fans the news that more games are coming to their respective consoles is great, but for Xbox gamers there is going to be some hard feelings over the fact that there is now less reason to but into the console. What’s more, this isn’t going to be the end of games moving from Xbox exclusivity to multiplatform.

  1. Grounded: coming to PS4/5 and Switch on the 16th of April, 2024
  2. Hi-Fi Rush: Coming to PS5 on the 19th of March, 2024
  3. Pentiment is out now for PS4/5 and Switch
  4. Sea of Thieves is coming to PS5 on the 30th of April, 2024

Playing videogames, writing about videogames, considering videogames—that about sums it up. Videogames are the one hobby that I’ve kept since I was only little, zapping ducks on the NES or knocking out MR. X. And when I’m not enjoying classics from the bit generation of games or checking out those earliest of polygons, I’m probably playing something from today’s age of modern gaming: if I’m not complaining about it. Something I’m doing at the moment? Returning to Triangle Strategy to see some of the other endings.
