The Switch 2 seems Readily Available

Nintendo Switch 2 at several retailers
There was for a time a furious flurry of attempted ordering for the Switch 2. With all the anticipation surrounding Nintendo’s next console, it’s no surprise that demand would be high when the Mario-Factory allowed for pre-orders the successor to arguably the best console ever made (yes that’s a big claim, but it isn’t an unreasonable one). There was a lot of complaints from internet users bemoaning the process of pre-ordering and the lack of availability for the console. Now though, some weeks later, it seems that stock-woes were exaggerated, or at least premature. In Great Britain there’s been a second wave of stock for the Switch to very quickly and now the system has been available at multiple retailers including GAME, Very, Argos and Nintendo’s official shop website. They’re so available that all of us at Stage-Select now have our pre-orders from more than one retailer. It seems that Nintendo’s purported plan to simply manufacture many Switch 2 consoles and stockpile them for launch is paying off; and we’ve avoided the issues that hit the Playstation 5 when it launched.

Playing videogames, writing about videogames, considering videogames—that about sums it up. Videogames are the one hobby that I’ve kept since I was only little, zapping ducks on the NES or knocking out MR. X. And when I’m not enjoying classics from the bit generation of games or checking out those earliest of polygons, I’m probably playing something from today’s age of modern gaming: if I’m not complaining about it. Something I’m doing at the moment? Tackling the hefty Yakuza: Like A Dragon and the first Lunar game.
