The Spectrum Special Edition

Who needs a printer?

If you’ve been interested in Retro Games Ltd. and their Spectrum, the emulation machine of Clive Sinclair’s ZX Spectrum, then maybe now is the time to pick up a special edition of the machine. The new special edition Spectrum comes in all-white, and has a special joystick, USB stick and a printer for all those fans of Spectrum printing.

For me, the extra cost of the special edition is a little too rich; my primary experience with the ZX Spectrum is through the regular edition of the Spectrum, and I’ve had plenty of fun just starting there.

Playing videogames, writing about videogames, considering videogames—that about sums it up. Videogames are the one hobby that I’ve kept since I was only little, zapping ducks on the NES or knocking out MR. X. And when I’m not enjoying classics from the bit generation of games or checking out those earliest of polygons, I’m probably playing something from today’s age of modern gaming: if I’m not complaining about it. Something I’m doing at the moment? Playing through Alundra again, this time on the Polymega.
