State of Play Today

State of Bond, James Bond
Anyone interested in how James Bond and 007: First Light, the new James Bond game from IO Interactive? Well, as if you were Agent 47 in a wig shop, Sony has you covered. Today, at 7pm in Great Britain, 8pm in Central Europe and 11am PT / 2pm ET in the U.S.A., Sony will be airing a State of Play event focused on the newest Bond game from the makers of the Hitman franchise.
From what I’ve seen of it I have to say that I’m not too optimistic about what we’ll be getting from First Light; it doesn’t look to me that it will be giving us the sort of James Bond that I would want to see, but to be fair, we have only seen a little bit of the game yet and Io Interactive have, for the most part, a very good track record as games developers, so maybe I’ll be surprised.

Playing videogames, writing about videogames, considering videogames—that about sums it up. Videogames are the one hobby that I’ve kept since I was only little, zapping ducks on the NES or knocking out MR. X. And when I’m not enjoying classics from the bit generation of games or checking out those earliest of polygons, I’m probably playing something from today’s age of modern gaming: if I’m not complaining about it. Fiddling with the Lenovo Legion Go.
