Slitterhead Releasing Soon

If you didn’t know (and you could be forgiven for not knowing), Slitterhead is releasing in a matter of days. The new horror game is the debut title for Bokeh Game Studios, and it’s a new title from the creator of Silent Hill and Forbidden Siren, Keiichiro Toyama.
Slitterhead is releasing on the 8th of November, 2024; as part the build up to the release Mr. Toyama has given an interview to Game Rant. In the interview Mr. Toyama says that Slitterhead will be an innovative game and a little rough around the edges. And it’s easy to see why when looking at reviews of the game. Slitterhead is a horror game, that much is clear from the tone and content, but the game incorporates some rather fast paced gameplay mechanics, and a lot of combat too. Now, for fans of classic survival horror (like myself), combat in a horror game is always welcome—much needed too with all the run-and-hide ‘em-ups that we see in so many modern horror games. On top of that, Mr. Toyama has a track record of making horror games that are a bit different.
I say say that I’m certainly interested in how Slitterhead turns out, but what about you?

Playing videogames, writing about videogames, considering videogames—that about sums it up. Videogames are the one hobby that I’ve kept since I was only little, zapping ducks on the NES or knocking out MR. X. And when I’m not enjoying classics from the bit generation of games or checking out those earliest of polygons, I’m probably playing something from today’s age of modern gaming: if I’m not complaining about it. Something I’m doing at the moment? I started dipping my toes in the vast sea of Kemco JRPGs.
