Polymega Module 06

It looks like we’re getting closer and closer to the official reveal of sixth module for the Polymega. We wrote about the most recent update to the Polymega last month, an update that prepares the system for ‘future Polymega hardware’. At the time I considered it much more likely that the ‘future hardware’ mentioned was the light gun controller, but it seems that the update might have also been for the benefit of the Atari modul, since the Polymega website has been teasing a 06 page with images of what appears to be a controller with a trackball and mode button, two things that would be very helpful for Atari games. The 06 seems to be another giveaway as that would be the sixth module to release for the emulation machine. So we know that Polymega is working on an Atari module, we seem to have quite strong evidence that module 06 is on the horizon and module six will include a trackball controller; looks a lot like Atari to me.

Playing videogames, writing about videogames, considering videogames—that about sums it up. Videogames are the one hobby that I’ve kept since I was only little, zapping ducks on the NES or knocking out MR. X. And when I’m not enjoying classics from the bit generation of games or checking out those earliest of polygons, I’m probably playing something from today’s age of modern gaming: if I’m not complaining about it. Something I’m doing at the moment? Tackling the hefty Yakuza: Like A Dragon and the first Lunar game.
