Polymega Lightguns Spotted

Phantom peripherals
For anyone who isn’t stuck in the cycle of Polymega promises evaporating faster than IPA on a frying pan, the latest peripheral for the emulation machine that’s been missing in action (and its projected release) is the lightgun controller— for all those fans of Time Crisis and Point Blank looking for a way to play their old shooters without a CRT television. There’s been rumours and whispers of the new lightgun coming out recently that have been fuelled by firmware update that added new functionality to the Polymega, but there was not sign of lightguns, until now.
Time Extension, a British games website with a decent working-relationship with Playmaji, posted an image to website X of El Dorado with the phantom peripheral in hand. That’s all, no news of a release, but it was months ago that Playmaji was saying units of the lightguns would soon be going to the press before shipping, so maybe that’s what we’re seeing, the hump of Nessie before the loch monster finally surfaces.

Playing videogames, writing about videogames, considering videogames—that about sums it up. Videogames are the one hobby that I’ve kept since I was only little, zapping ducks on the NES or knocking out MR. X. And when I’m not enjoying classics from the bit generation of games or checking out those earliest of polygons, I’m probably playing something from today’s age of modern gaming: if I’m not complaining about it. Fiddling with the Lenovo Legion Go.
