Polymega Cartridge

Is it too late? Does anybody car?

We only just got through writing about the coaxing post on X from website Time Extension showing the lightgun for emulation machine, the Polymega. Well it turns out that tweet wasn’t just a tease; Time Extension has a review of the elusive controllers, and it’s definitely worth a read.

I won’t spoil the work over at Time Extension, only to say that some of what was written is effectively my on thoughts of the light guns and the Polymega as a whole, if the hardware that Playmaji worked on was released when they aimed to release it, the product would be an impressive, unique niche for videogame fans with big collections. As it is, Polymega’s delays have left them passed by and, unless they get their act together, improve their customer service, logistics and quality control, their consoles will be passed on too.

Playing videogames, writing about videogames, considering videogames—that about sums it up. Videogames are the one hobby that I’ve kept since I was only little, zapping ducks on the NES or knocking out MR. X. And when I’m not enjoying classics from the bit generation of games or checking out those earliest of polygons, I’m probably playing something from today’s age of modern gaming: if I’m not complaining about it. Fiddling with the Lenovo Legion Go.
