New Nintendo Horror?
Who is Emio? I don’t know. But Nintendo is asking the question, or a trailer on their official Youtube account is at least.
Although it’s not unusual to see new trailers for new games pop up on Nintendo’s official Youtube account (It happens all the time), but it is a bit unusual to see something decidedly more sinister turn up on the Mario company’s channel. The new trailer shows a man in a trench coat, illuminated in a spot light and wearing a paper bag on his head, one with a smiling face drawn on it. Besides that we don’t know anything else, well other than the name ‘Emio’ translates as Smiling Man. There’s a Japanese web page for the new trailer that you can see here too, but there are no further details there yet.
Playing videogames, writing about videogames, considering videogames—that about sums it up. Videogames are the one hobby that I’ve kept since I was only little, zapping ducks on the NES or knocking out MR. X. And when I’m not enjoying classics from the bit generation of games or checking out those earliest of polygons, I’m probably playing something from today’s age of modern gaming: if I’m not complaining about it. Something I’m doing at the moment? Returning to the black hole that is Football Manager.
