NEOGEO Delay

Garou turn around!
Delays, delays, delays. I have to hand it to Blaze, they’ve been hit with multiple problems that have struck releases for their Evercade consoles and their games, but they’ve always been upfront with these delays and they’ve always recovered well. They’ve had tariff troubles, production problems, they even had a lorry full of Evecade EXPs hijacked. Now the NEOGEO Arcade Collection 2 & 3 carts have been hit with an artist’s catastrophe. From the official evercade blog:
‘We have an update on the release of the next two cartridges… for the UK and Europe.
The release date for these will change to November 28th, 2025.
This is due to discovering a packaging issue during our quality checks that did not meet our standards, as well as an short unexpected delay with our freight shipment. We are in the process of correcting this issue and re-working all affected stock.
This does not affect stock for North America or Canada which will release as planned on October 30th, 2025. If you have ordered from Funstock, as this is coming from the UK, it will be subject to the new release date.
Pre-orders for this product will now remain open until the new release date. We apologise for any inconvenience caused, and look forward to seeing all of you enjoy these great arcade collections.’

Playing videogames, writing about videogames, considering videogames—that about sums it up. Videogames are the one hobby that I’ve kept since I was only little, zapping ducks on the NES or knocking out MR. X. And when I’m not enjoying classics from the bit generation of games or checking out those earliest of polygons, I’m probably playing something from today’s age of modern gaming: if I’m not complaining about it. Something I’m doing at the moment? Playing though Lost Eidolons and Unicorn Overlord.
