N64 Recomp Launcher
Recomp comp
Keeping track of all those wonderful Nintendo 64 decomps and recomps has just been mad a lot easier.
If you’re unaware, decompiles and recompiles are processes by which games are moved from original hardware to run natively on other hardware (in this case form N64 to PC, giving some significant advantages over emulation. And recently we’ve been seeing more classic games make the move, games like Banjo Kazooie, Mario Kart 64 and Star Fox 64. With these efforts coming from clever people across the internet, it isn’t always easy keeping track of all the games available.
Thanks to a new upload over on Github from user SirDiabo though, we can see recomps and decomps in the same place.
Called the N64recomplauncher, the new program masses various recomps and decomps in the same launcher, allowing users to download all the necessary files to play your now PC native N64 games—as long as you provide your own roms that is.

Playing videogames, writing about videogames, considering videogames—that about sums it up. Videogames are the one hobby that I’ve kept since I was only little, zapping ducks on the NES or knocking out MR. X. And when I’m not enjoying classics from the bit generation of games or checking out those earliest of polygons, I’m probably playing something from today’s age of modern gaming: if I’m not complaining about it. Something I’m doing at the moment? Trying FPGA emulation for the first time with the Mister Multisystem 2.
