More Tombs To Raid

It looks like Crystal Dynamics think there’s still treasure to be found in the Tomb Raider games after releasing the collected remasters of Tomb Raider 1-3. Serial remasterers (er, there’s probably two too many ers there, too many tos too… sorry) Aspyr will handle the job of bringing Tomb Raider IV, V and VI to modern consoles in February of next year, for PS4/5, Xbox Series/One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
Despite decrying the games in the original remastered collection as morally reprehensible, Crystal Dynamics were still happy to cash in on the reputation and fond memories many have of the classic games and heroine Lara Croft. Those moral matters don’t matter enough for Crystal Dynamics to stop them from amassing more ill-gotten gains off the back of these (apparently) awful examples of ‘harmful’ games; but at least fans who are not so wrapped up in moral grandstanding will get a chance to enjoy more classic Tomb Raider action.

Playing videogames, writing about videogames, considering videogames—that about sums it up. Videogames are the one hobby that I’ve kept since I was only little, zapping ducks on the NES or knocking out MR. X. And when I’m not enjoying classics from the bit generation of games or checking out those earliest of polygons, I’m probably playing something from today’s age of modern gaming: if I’m not complaining about it. Something I’m doing at the moment? I started dipping my toes in the vast sea of Kemco JRPGs.
