More Evercade Carts To Cease Production
A greater legacy, unfortunately
Blaze might have already told us of two new carts that are coming to the Evercade platform in 2026, but three more carts are also going out of production in March of 2026. Following on from the four carts that entered ‘legacy status’ this month (December, 2025), next year Intellivision Collection 1 and 2, along with IREM Arcade 1 will no longer be produced, meaning that whatever stock retailers have after that is all there will be.
The news from the official Evercade website says:
‘We have an update on the next three cartridges that will enter legacy status.
A legacy cart is where our license to produce the cartridge has expired. This means Blaze Entertainment can no longer make new stock of that cartridge.
Legacy cartridges will remain on sale with retailers where stocks last.
Enterting Legacy status from March 2026 are:
Intellivision Collection 1
Intellivision Collection 2
IREM Arcade 1’

Playing videogames, writing about videogames, considering videogames—that about sums it up. Videogames are the one hobby that I’ve kept since I was only little, zapping ducks on the NES or knocking out MR. X. And when I’m not enjoying classics from the bit generation of games or checking out those earliest of polygons, I’m probably playing something from today’s age of modern gaming: if I’m not complaining about it. Something I’m doing at the moment? Battling through the Bitmap Bureau Collection.
