Intellivison Sprint

The retro rampage from Atari continues. Not content to bring new Atari hardware to market, the ever-brewing cauldron of ideas over at modern-day Atari has crank out a brand new Intellivision machine—no, not that one.
Called Intellivision Sprint, the new emulation console is up for pre-order now from the official Atari site. The Sprint’s description reads:
‘The first Intellivision console, brought to you by Atari. The Intellivision Sprint retains the authentic look and feel of the original, modernized with HDMI and wireless controllers. Includes 45 built-in games, including Boulder Dash and Shark! Shark!, along with classic Intellivision sports games, strategy games, and more. Also includes new overlays for each game.’
So it’s clear why Atari purchased all those Intellivision properties just a little while ago. It seems that new Atari is well and truly committed to reaping every retro crop they can get their hands on.

Playing videogames, writing about videogames, considering videogames—that about sums it up. Videogames are the one hobby that I’ve kept since I was only little, zapping ducks on the NES or knocking out MR. X. And when I’m not enjoying classics from the bit generation of games or checking out those earliest of polygons, I’m probably playing something from today’s age of modern gaming: if I’m not complaining about it. Something I’m doing at the moment? Playing though Lost Eidolons and Unicorn Overlord.
