Football Manager 2026

Football Crazy, Football Mad

Sports Interactive’s Football Manager, the videogame equivalent of addition spirals, has lifted the lid on Football Manager 2026—or at least they’ve tilted it just slightly to late a puff of steam out.

A new video for Football Manager 2026 showing in-game-buy-not-finalised footage with the voice of football commentator Peter Drury over the top. And that was it, no look at the tactics screen, no information on leagues in the game (except the Premier League since it’s in the video), no release date, but at least we know that Sports Interactive are feeling confident enough about FM26 to start the hype-train rolling.

Playing videogames, writing about videogames, considering videogames—that about sums it up. Videogames are the one hobby that I’ve kept since I was only little, zapping ducks on the NES or knocking out MR. X. And when I’m not enjoying classics from the bit generation of games or checking out those earliest of polygons, I’m probably playing something from today’s age of modern gaming: if I’m not complaining about it.
