Crow Country

Survival-horror fans have been lucky enough that, while many such games have either dropped the ‘survival’ part, or moved more toward an almost exclusive action orientation, smaller developers have done their part in trying to keep a more nostalgic survival-horror experience alive for gamers to enjoy. Titles like Tormented Souls, Alisa and the Daymare games try to capture the spirit of those classic survival-horror games; and another in that list, Crow Country, is making its way to the Nintendo Switch and PS4.

Crow Country is a survival-horror game that is inspired by PS1 games, as a pixel look-a-like with an almost isometric view. Being already available on Xbox Series, PS5 and PC, Crow Country has been well received by fans, and now Switch and PS4 owners will have a chance to visit the amusement park and face its horrors.

Playing videogames, writing about videogames, considering videogames—that about sums it up. Videogames are the one hobby that I’ve kept since I was only little, zapping ducks on the NES or knocking out MR. X. And when I’m not enjoying classics from the bit generation of games or checking out those earliest of polygons, I’m probably playing something from today’s age of modern gaming: if I’m not complaining about it. Something I’m doing at the moment? I started dipping my toes in the vast sea of Kemco JRPGs.
