Amiga Console Delayed

Retro Games Ltd has done more than anyone else that I can think of in bringing the old world of personal computers (specifically their games) to fans today. I grew up with 8 and 16-bit games, but I didn’t grow up with a ZX Spectrum or a Commodore computer; however, the VIC-20 Maxi gave me a chance to experience some of that C64 gaming goodness that I had heard about. Then there was the A500 Mini, and a chance to play in 16-bits. But the mini left me wanting, a full sized Amiga, and then Retro Games Ltd put out a ‘roadmap’ detailing their intention to bring us a full sized Amiga console. Now though that roadmap says this console has been delayed, and will be release in 2025, instead of 2024.
Why the delay? We don’t know; we still don’t even know if this new full sized Amiga console will be an A500 maxi or something else (maybe a Amiga CD32), but Retro Game Ltd has a track record of bringing good products to market (at least in my experience), so whatever the reason for the delayed, it’s probably a necessary.

Playing videogames, writing about videogames, considering videogames—that about sums it up. Videogames are the one hobby that I’ve kept since I was only little, zapping ducks on the NES or knocking out MR. X. And when I’m not enjoying classics from the bit generation of games or checking out those earliest of polygons, I’m probably playing something from today’s age of modern gaming: if I’m not complaining about it. Something I’m doing at the moment? I’ve started dipping my toes into the sea of Kemco JRPGs.
