Showcasing the new Acclaim
We just wrote about Acclaim’s ‘transmission’ event, and now we know what they were hinting at: another event. That’s right, Acclaim decided to tease an announcement event that would be to reveal another announcement event. Called ‘Play Acclaim’, the official Acclaim X account has said the showcase will ‘showcase the titles that will mark the beginning of a bold new era.’
The Play Acclaim showcase will air on the official Acclaim Youtube channel on the 10th of September, 2025.
Playing videogames, writing about videogames, considering videogames—that about sums it up. Videogames are the one hobby that I’ve kept since I was only little, zapping ducks on the NES or knocking out MR. X. And when I’m not enjoying classics from the bit generation of games or checking out those earliest of polygons, I’m probably playing something from today’s age of modern gaming: if I’m not complaining about it.
