Final Fantasy VII Getting Replaced
FF VII final days
If there’s one thing you can say about me it’s that I like JRPGs, and Final Fantasy VII is one of my favourites; and I mean the real Final Fantasy VII, not that poor imposter of a ‘re-imagining’ that Square Enix is releasing these days. And the good news is that FF7 is easy to find, being aviable on just about every thing, including Steam.
Strangely though, Square has announced that they are going to be removing the classic from Steam. Referring to it as the 2013 version, Square has said they will replace the older version with a new one for ‘an improved gameplay experience’. Just what going to change we don’t know yet, but Square has assured us that those of us that have already bought FF7 on Steam will retain access to the 2013 version (that’s what it will be listed), and will be able to download the new version (which will be called Final Fantasy VII) for free.

Playing videogames, writing about videogames, considering videogames—that about sums it up. Videogames are the one hobby that I’ve kept since I was only little, zapping ducks on the NES or knocking out MR. X. And when I’m not enjoying classics from the bit generation of games or checking out those earliest of polygons, I’m probably playing something from today’s age of modern gaming: if I’m not complaining about it. Something I’m doing at the moment? Finally tackling Octopath Traveller 2.
