Nintendo decided to continued their mystifying practice of catching us wrong-footed with a surprise Nintendo Direct. And although they were calling it a ‘Mini’ Direct, Nintendo managed to pack quite a lot of information into it.

Perhaps the biggest news was the reveal of Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition’s release date of the 29th of May 2020, and that there will be new story content added to the Definitive Edition.

Then there was the announcement of three different collections from the publisher 2K. We have a Bioshock collection, an Xcom collection and a Borderlands collection, all of which will be releasing on the 29th of May 2020 (a date that is looking very busy all of a sudden).

We were told the next DLC fighter for Smash Bros. Ultimate will be a character from the Arms game, though just who that will be Nintendo has not said.

There was much else besides with more on Bravely Default 2 (which now has a demo available on the eShop) and that Panza Dragoon: Remake is out (digitally) today, as well as a reel of other games that will be coming to the Nintendo Switch in the future, and you can see it all here.
